Organization settings let you configure how your Rool organization works -- from managing team members to controlling display preferences and connected services. All organization-level settings live in one place, organized into easy-to-navigate tabs.
Who can access organization settings? Only users with the Admin role. If you're not an admin, you'll see an "Access Denied" message when trying to open the Settings page. To request access, ask an existing admin to update your role.
Accessing Organization Settings
There are two ways to get to your organization settings:
Click your profile avatar in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar, then select Org Settings from the menu.
Navigate directly by visiting your organization's settings URL in the format
your-org/settings.
Once you open settings, you'll see a row of tabs along the top of the page. Click any tab to jump to that section.
Settings Sections at a Glance
Organization settings are divided into eight tabs:
Team Members
View everyone in your organization, along with their role (Admin, Editor, or Member). From here you can:
See all current team members and their roles
Invite new team members by email
View and manage pending invitations
Branch Access
Control which team members have access to specific branches (accounts/locations). Use this tab to:
Assign members to individual branches
Set branch-level roles (Manager or Contributor)
Remove a member's access to a branch
Connected Services
Manage external service integrations for your organization. Currently supported:
Google Drive -- connect your Google account to import assets directly from Drive into your Rool library
Email Notifications
Configure your personal email notification preferences. You can:
Turn all email notifications on or off with a single toggle
-
Enable or disable emails for specific categories:
Outbound Requests -- new requests, reminders, fulfillment updates
Post Approvals -- submitted, approved, and changes-requested notifications
Content Requests -- requests from branches to HQ
Daily Reminders -- periodic emails for pending items that need your attention
Review Links
Set default behavior for external review links that you share with stakeholders outside your organization. Options include:
Default capability -- choose whether reviewers can view only, comment and flag, or do a full review
Response visibility -- control whether reviewer responses are visible to other reviewers
Response mode -- set responses as advisory (informational) or binding (affects approval)
Identity requirements -- decide whether view-only reviewers need to identify themselves
Display
Control how information appears across the platform:
Account addresses -- show or hide branch addresses in dropdowns, previews, and lists
Reels Share to Feed -- set whether Instagram Reels also appear in the main feed by default
Date & Time
Set your organization's date and time formatting preferences:
Date format -- choose how dates are displayed (e.g., MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY)
Time format -- select 12-hour or 24-hour time
Week start day -- pick whether your calendar week begins on Sunday or Monday
General
Manage core organization details:
Brand image -- upload a logo or avatar for your organization (appears in the sidebar and organization switcher). Accepts PNG, JPG, WebP, or GIF up to 5 MB. Square images at least 200x200 pixels work best.
Organization name -- update the display name that appears throughout the app
Personal Account Settings
Separate from organization settings, every user (regardless of role) can access their own Account Settings to manage personal information. To get there, click your profile avatar and select Account.
On this page you can:
Update your first and last name
Upload or remove your profile avatar
Change your password
Your email address is displayed but cannot be changed directly -- contact support if you need to update it.
Tips
Changes are saved per tab. Each section has its own Save Changes button. Make sure to save before switching tabs, or your changes will be lost.
Email preferences are personal. Unlike other organization settings, the Email Notifications tab controls your own preferences, not the entire organization's.
Some settings can be overridden per post. For example, the Reels Share to Feed default can be changed on individual posts at the time of creation.
